Synopsis

The Chapel of Light is overwhelmed with refugees, sick, and injured. Priest Valeria needs help—both hands to assist and resources to continue her work.

Stage 1: Chapel Visit

Location: Skyport Eos (Chapel of Light)

The chapel is overcrowded. Valeria moves from patient to patient with exhausted efficiency. She notices you and offers a choice: pray at the altar, or help with the patients.

Choices: 1. Offer to help with patients - Begin assisting (+5 Clergy reputation) 2. Ask about her work - Learn about the refugee crisis

Scene Setting: The chapel serves as hospital, shelter, and sanctuary. The refugee crisis has pushed it beyond capacity.

After helping, Valeria reveals the real problem: medical supplies are nearly exhausted, and Guild prices have tripled. She needs bandages, antiseptic herbs, pain remedies, and surgical tools.

Choices: 1. Buy supplies at market price - Legitimate but expensive (-200 gold, +15 Clergy, +5 Guild) 2. Negotiate for a discount (Cunning DC 26) - Reduce cost to 100 gold 3. Find an alternative source - Proceed to Stage 3

Stage 3: Alternative Supplies

Location: Skyport Eos (black market)

If you chose alternative sources, you have three options:

Choices: 1. Smuggled goods from the Chasm - 75 gold, +10 Clergy, +5 Cartel 2. Military surplus from Ironhold - 100 gold, +10 Clergy 3. Salvage from crashed merchant ship - Free, +10 Clergy

Stages: 3

Synopsis

The events of the Hidden Corruption and Voice Beneath arcs have shaken Valeria’s faith. She’s seen corruption in leaders she trusted and heard arguments from the Rot-Touched that challenge everything she believes. She needs help finding her way.

Stage 1: Crisis Point

Location: Skyport Eos (Chapel, night)

Valeria is alone in the chapel, staring at the constellation mosaics. She’s questioning everything: the Clergy’s teachings, the nature of corruption, whether the Stars truly guide humanity.

Choices: 1. Listen to her doubts - Provide emotional support 2. Defend traditional faith (Piety DC 26) - Reinforce Clergy teachings 3. Acknowledge the complexity - Validate her questions

Stage 2: The Debate

Location: Skyport Eos (Chapel)

Valeria wants to discuss the theological implications of what she’s learned. The Rot-Touched claim the Voice offers truth; the Clergy claims it offers damnation. Who’s right?

Choices: 1. Support Clergy orthodoxy - The Voice is corruption, nothing more 2. Acknowledge Rot-Touched arguments - Maybe there’s truth in transformation 3. Propose a middle path - Faith can evolve without breaking

Stage 3: Resolution

Location: Skyport Eos (Chapel)

Valeria reaches a conclusion based on your guidance.

Outcomes: 1. Renewed Faith: Valeria recommits to Clergy teachings, stronger for the questioning 2. Questioning Faith: Valeria remains a priest but with private doubts 3.
