Torvald the Wind Scholar

“The Hermit of the Cliffs”

“I study the winds. They speak, you know. Most people don’t listen.”

Quick Reference

Torvald the Wind Scholar - The Hermit of the Cliffs

Overview

Torvald lives in a cave carved into the Northern Cliffs, its mouth hung with wind chimes of bone and metal. He has spent decades charting the winds and believes they carry information to anyone patient enough to listen. He rarely looks up from his work for a visitor, but he will take one up to the overlook if they seem worth it.

Not to be confused with Elder Torvald Ironwright of Skyport Eos.

Appearance

Seventies, wild white hair and a long tangled beard, a patched grey-brown robe stuffed with rolled charts, and a brass wind-gauge round his neck.
